In my art, I explore the essence of femininity, identity, and life experiences through recurring images such as shoes, dresses, insects, and more. Each painting presents a singular object, akin to a portrait, laden with personal narratives and symbolism. Despite their initial beauty, these objects reveal underlying flaws and frustrations, mirroring life’s complexities.

A lace purse, delicate and beautiful, grapples with a thin handle, unable to bear the weight it carries. A stunning high heel stands alone, its pair absent, rendering it unwearable. The vibrant wings of an insect, captivating in their color, find themselves juxtaposed with a body cloaked in hair. These visual paradoxes mirror the dualities and dialectics of my emotions and experiences—attraction and aversion; hope and despair; beauty and loathsome. Through these juxtapositions, I embark on a journey of self-discovery and reconciliation.

Laces play a significant role, adorning objects and insects as both a nod to femininity and a coping mechanism for life’s challenges. Like silver linings, they embellish moments of despair, weaving together beauty and resilience.

My artwork is a reflection of the intricate interplay between beauty and imperfection, inviting viewers to explore the profound intricacies of the human experience. Through each stroke, I strive to come to terms with the dichotomies that shape us—embracing the allure of hope and the resilience required to navigate the depths of despair.
